Imagine what would happen if today you claimed the power of Christ's victorious life as your own. You would through the power of Christ cast doubt, fear, depression, oppression, anger, bitterness, and despair at the foot of the cross. You would exclaim with confidence that Jesus is victorious, a conquering King, strong in battle. You say with conviction that Christ died, rose, and lives to intercede before the Father on your behalf (Hebrews 7:25).
What does a victorious life look like? It is a crucified life, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me” (Galatian 2:20). It’s a life that takes God at His word, when He says, “When thou pass through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walk through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee” (Isaiah 43:2). It’s a surrendered life. When trouble come, you hasten to the throne of God, finding shelter and rest. It’s a peaceful life because your thoughts are of Him and you’re trusting and obeying (Isaiah 26:3).
What does a victorious life in Christ look like, “You maybe troubled on every side, yet you are not distressed; you are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in your body” (2 Corinthians 4:8-10).
A victorious life in Christ believes that Satan is defeated and no longer has power over you because your life is hidden in Christ. A victorious life is Christ's life and He stands, with outstretched hands offering His life to you today. By faith... take it! Take it now! Just take it! Take it moment by moment and live.
